Speaking the truth in love
“Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ.” Ephesians 4:15New International Version (NIV)
Lemme quickly bring you into my world of meditation from this scripture.
Many times, we forget to discern the body properly and be gracious even with the message of grace. You see, when we remember that we once or could have acted like others do zealously, until greater light was received, we ought to be more gracious, and our speech salted …
We should be gracious with our words, loving in our disposition, firm in our position, all for our edification… discerning and honoring the body.
Wonder why we catch out this phrase as a matter of code? Muse on this:
Truth spoken in Love, in the Spirit (with the right attitude)…cuts cleanly through. Truth spoken in the flesh however, can leave a jagged wound…
I believe every good surgeon understands that part … (winks) that said, I hope it helps?
Now say with me:
We Speak the truth in love, in the spirit and with the right spirit (attitude), our words minister grace, provokes the needed shift, and imparts grace for all to come into the fullness of all that Christ is and did for us all.
