Prophetic Activations while Worship – Why Not?

Worship and Prophetic Activations (extracts from IGNITE School Of the Prophet in PHC, 2018 first shared with Worship Team)

“After that you will go to Gibeah of God, where there is a Philistine outpost. As you approach the town, you will meet a procession of prophets coming down from the high place with lyres, timbrels,  pipes and harps being played before them, and they will be prophesying. 6 The Spirit of the Lord will come powerfully upon you, and you will prophesy with them; and  you will be changed into a different person”

1 Samuel 10:5-6

Take note that the word used as ‘procession of Prophets’ is also grouped as ‘School of the Prophet’. [Hold that thought till we return in our series on the Prophetic].
Most times, we experience such strong consciousness and sensitivity in worship, that the intensity of a worship atmosphere makes it possible for anyone to prophesy. After reading from Brandon Bailey’s post, I thought to share with you too.

I agree that a worship atmosphere is not produced to single out the most talented or the most prophetic. A worship atmosphere is produced to invite everyone into a powerful experience by creating a strong ambiance of Christ consciousness.

Imagine Saul just stumbling into this procession and tapping into what is happening…

Now, there’s a huge need to be discerning and submissive to the leadership of the house where we minister, that means, understand the allotment of time, the expectations, don’t seek to impress, or talk too much instead of stirring worship, but express from the deep bowels of the Spirit. However, this is just a wild thought for the Worship Minister to have liberty to birth more than a song, but also the word of the Lord.

Don’t you think, there is something seriously wrong when we regulate worship leaders and ask them to stick only to singing. There is a lot of things we can control but we can we try and control inspiration and downloads? Yet, the spirit of the prophet is subject to such.

We tend to trust worship leaders more with a song and less with an atmosphere hence we want them to stick to the script and not to engage the atmosphere at all.

I am asking myself more and more these days do we really understand a worship atmosphere or is there some more we ought to realize?

Do we actually know that a good worship sessions gets the next person’s job easy, to glide on the reception and sensitivity of the people.

Sadly most worship leaders are entrusted with songs, not an atmosphere.

“Where the spirit of the Lord is there is liberty”
2 Corinthians 3:17

Where is the liberty for the worship leader?

You see, I see something of this liberty in some Psalmists today like in Pst Chingtok Ishaku, Orenze, Kim Walker, Chris Quila etc and I see that of our IGNITE Worship Team too, you could join and be committed *winks

We ain’t in a hurry, we make progress, build ourselves together, pray protractedly, flow in the Spirit, enjoy Koinonia and hack up the body, experience prophetic activations… Its a fellowship of burning saints (IGNITIONPoint – every second Saturday) best experienced than explained. You should join us
