Worry: Cure or Choice?

The times in which we live are full of serious concerns that leave you wondering what option to take seriously. Have you ever been in such seasons where you felt if God ever existed then He must vindicate His existence immediately with a show of force?

Oh that moment where you hear others testify of the goodness of God and you wonder when do I experience same? You read of God being good but things look worse? Such seasons where you question everything again and wonder if others are lying about God or describing a God you are yet to know, haven been saddled with a load of care, tossing between worry, fear and the worse. Yeah, calm your nerves and read again the lines of the gospel, describing your Father.

Yes, you have a Father that is consistent and eternal. He is more than sufficient to meet your needs.

This was one of the dealings I had during the Holidays and you know, no amount of worrying can change things or lengthen our life or add anything to our person. Instead, worrying robs people of sleep, health and many good years… Worry is a choice and not a cure. It takes the same amount of time to pray and worry. Prayer changes people and changes things but worry drains people and worsen things. Instead of worrying all day meditate on the nature of God, the love of the Father and His goodness. If He could care for the birds of the air, the lily of the field, how much more His children?

“You parents–if your children ask for a loaf of bread, do you give them a stone instead?
Or if they ask for a fish, do you give them a snake? Of course not!
So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask him – Mtt 7:11

In fact, it is only when you are worry-free that God’s anointing flows freely, strengthening, healing, restoring and adding to us.

Worry is believing that the devil has the power to make inroads into our life that God cannot protect us from. But when you refuse to worry, you are putting your faith in God. You have more confidence in His love and power working for you than in the devil’s ability to harm you! When you refuse to worry, but choose to rest in the finished work of Christ, you will see the manifestation of your blessing. You will see your miracle!

Cast your cares upon the Lord for He cares for you! 1 Peter 5:7

Yes, God is a good good FATHER and we are eternally loved by Him!

Now say with me: My FATHER loves me! He exceeds my needs. He cares endlessly and His love never fails, it never gives up and never runs out on me!
Oh Abba FATHER loves me!
